About Us

Steven Scott, CPP, ACE

Steven Scott, the founder and president of Intercept Security Inc., brings over 35 years of expertise in security and law enforcement. Since establishing the company in 1993, Steven has made Intercept Security Inc. a trusted partner for businesses in the Greater Rochester Region, delivering customized security solutions that meet the unique needs of each client.

With a distinguished 25-year career at the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Steven rose to the rank of Chief Deputy, with oversight of all police operations and a team of over 350 personnel. He has expertise in critical incident response and led specialized response teams such as SWAT, SCUBA, BOMB, K9, and Hostage units. He also played a pivotal role in developing the Active Shooter Response Program.

After retiring, Steven transitioned to aviation security, where he successfully managed numerous contracts with the TSA Screening Partnership Program and 1542 regulatory security contracts at major airports, including the Denver International Airport.

Steven is recognized for his strategic vision, crisis management expertise, and leadership development skills. He holds certifications as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and Airport Certified Employee (ACE), along with a strong educational background in criminal justice.

Under Steven’s leadership, Intercept Security Inc. continues to excel, providing top-tier security services that ensure the safety and peace of mind of its clients.

    Andrea Race is a results-driven operations leader with over 10 years of experience optimizing security services and strengthening client relationships. At Intercept Security Inc., she oversees all aspects of service delivery, personnel management, and client engagement—ensuring every contract runs smoothly and every client feels supported.

    Andrea holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and an Associate’s degree in Business Administration. Her career began at Xerox, where she excelled in roles including requirements analyst and project manager. These experiences sharpened her ability to translate client needs into efficient, cost-effective solutions.

    After a purposeful break to raise her family, Andrea returned to the workforce with renewed energy and a passion for operational excellence. Since stepping into her role at Intercept, she has led initiatives that improved service efficiency, enhanced team performance, and deepened client trust.

    Andrea’s leadership is defined by professionalism, empathy, and a commitment to delivering top-tier security solutions.
